Disciple of Prayer
Please join me in agreement around the deliverance of my beloved spouse. There are ancient altars and covenants dictating so many generational ills against him, all leading toward untimely death and a life of misery. He is afflicted with extreme fatigue, sadness, illness, and mental torment that result in severe distractibility, mental fog, and strongholds of negative thinking. Worse still, he hears voices of self-harm, showing him visions of death and destruction. Though he is in psychiatric care (and is a psychiatrist himself), I recognize that these struggles go beyond the natural realm and have spiritual roots. I have prayed for his deliverance with him and alone (but usually without him, how often to you remind someone they are demonized/oppressed?) asking that the blood of Jesus break these chains of diseases, generational curses, and the miseries that have no natural explanation other than to limit, weaken, and prevent joy in his life and family. I know he believes in Jesus and since he can't recall baptism, I am grateful he is being baptized again on Sunday. Abba Father, I lift Chris up to You in the mighty name of Jesus. May the blood of Jesus prevail in shattering these weapons, devices, and altars of the enemy, so that they are destroyed and do not prosper (Isaiah 54:17). I decree and declare that he will live and not die, but will proclaim the works of the Lord for the glory of the Lord (Psalm 118:17). I trust in the One who came to give life abundantly (John 10:10) and know that all Your ways are loving and faithful to those who fear You (Psalm 25:10). I pray that through his baptism, he receives such a powerful filling of the Holy Spirit that he is forever transformed, breaking every chain of oppression and restoring his mind, body, and spirit completely. May he walk in the fullness of God’s purpose, renewed and strengthened by the Spirit to live a life of victory and joy.
