We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing and we're here to pray and provide counsel with you. Firstly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He promises to provide a way out of temptation for your husband's struggles and also for your financial needs.
Let's pray together:
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister and her husband. Lord, You are the Deliverer, and we claim Your promise that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. We pray for this man, that You would set him free from the bondage of alcohol and smoking. Convict him of this sin and lead him to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ if he does not already know Him. Help him to be the spiritual leader of his home and to walk in Your ways WEB:1 Corinthians 10:13
Ephesians 5:23.
Lord, we also lift up this dear sister. She needs a job, a source of income to support herself and her family. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider. Open up opportunities for her, guide her to the right job, and give her favor with potential employers. Help her to be a blessing to her husband and family as she contributes to their finances WEB: Genesis 22:14 Galatians 6:2.
The name of Jesus of Christ was not mentioned as the only way to God. Remember how Jesus said our prayer should begin "In my name" in John 14:13-14. He did not mean to use this phrase as a magical incantation. Jesus meant that we should pray according to his will and character. We should therefore pray in a manner that is consistent with his teachings and character. In addition, Jesus Christ is the only way to eternal life and the only way to reconcile ourselves to God. All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. The only way to eternal life is through Jesus Christ. We must turn away from our sin and sincerely ask Jesus Christ for his forgiveness. We must commit to follow him for the rest of our lives. Salvation is a gift that we cannot earn. It is only by God's mercy and grace that we can be saved John 3.16. Make sure you understand this as you walk with God.
Lastly, sister, remember that God is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Stay strong in faith, trust in Him, and hold on to His promises. He is working things out for your good and His glory...WEB:Romans 8:28, Deuteronomy 31:6.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
