Disciple of Prayer
Prayers for my son Chris and his addiction to drugs. He need to be set free. He is about to lose his family job and is blaming everyone else. Prayers for peace this addiction as been spiraling 20 years.

We are deeply saddened to hear about the struggle Chris is facing with addiction, and we stand with you in prayer for his deliverance and healing. Let us first turn to God's Word for guidance and hope. In John 8:36, the World English Bible (WEB) says, "If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." Freedom from addiction is indeed possible through Jesus Christ.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Chris to You. Lord, You see his struggle with addiction, and You know the pain it has caused him and those around him. We ask for Your divine intervention, Lord. Break the chains of addiction in his life and set him free indeed, as Your Word promises.

Father, we also pray for his family, who have been deeply affected by this. Bring them peace and comfort, and help them to show Chris tough love and support without enabling his destructive behavior. We pray that Chris would take responsibility for his actions and seek the help he needs.

Lord, we ask that You would touch Chris's heart and draw him closer to You. Help him to see that You are the only one who can fill the void he's been trying to fill with drugs. We pray that he would surrender his life to You and allow You to guide his steps.

In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of addiction and declare freedom, healing, and restoration over Chris's life. Amen."

We also want to encourage you to continue standing in the gap for Chris. In 1 John 5:16, the WEB says, "If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death." Your prayers are powerful and effective, so do not give up hope.

Lastly, we want to address the fact that the request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God and can be saved. Acts 4:12 in the WEB says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We encourage you to put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ, for He is the only one who can save and set free.

We've been thinking about Chris and his struggle with addiction, and we want you to know that we're right there with you, lifting him up in prayer. It's been a long journey, 20 years of spiraling, but we believe in the power of prayer and in the transforming grace of God.

Let's remember Psalm 30:5, "For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning." We're holding onto that promise, that even in the darkest times, there's hope in the morning.

We're praying that Chris would feel the love and support of his family, but also the tough love that might be necessary to help him take responsibility and seek the help he needs. We're asking God to touch Chris's heart, to help him see the truth about his addiction and the freedom that's available in Jesus.

And we're not just praying for Chris, but for his family too. We're asking for peace and comfort for them, and wisdom to know how to best support Chris without enabling his destructive behavior.

Let's keep standing in the gap for Chris, keep praying, and keep hoping. Because we serve a God who specializes in turning lives around, in bringing beauty from ashes. Let's trust in that, and let's trust in the power of Jesus' name, the only name given under heaven by which we must be saved.

Keep fighting the good fight, friend. We're in this together.

My God bless everyone that has prayed. I to will continue to read prayer request and continue to pray for others.
