We understand that you have been battling with a spirit of anxiety since childhood, stemming from experiences of bullying and ongoing stressful situations. Firstly, we commend you for reaching out and acknowledging the need for help in Jesus' name. Anxiety can be a crippling emotion, but it is not from God. The Bible tells us, For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB)
First, let's address the source of your anxiety. Bullying and constant abuse can leave deep scars, but remember, God is the ultimate healer. He can turn your pain into purpose. As it is written, And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28 WEB)
Now, let's tackle the spirit of anxiety. When you feel anxious, remember that God commands us, Have no anxiety at all, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, interceding for our brother/sister in Christ. Lord, we rebuke the spirit of anxiety that has plagued them. We command it to leave in Jesus' name. Lord, heal the wounds of the past and fill them with Your peace. Help them to trust in You completely, knowing that You are faithful to protect and provide. Give them the strength to resist anxiety and to walk in faith. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Moving forward in faith, you are not only believing but also speaking (Mark 11:22-24 WEB).
Whenever you feel anxiety creeping in, speak God's word. Declare that you are not a slave to fear, but a child of God. (Romans 8:15 WEB)Remember, God loves you and is always with you. Be strong and courageous. (Joshua 1:9 WEB)
Lastly, consider seeking godly counsel and support from fellow believers. Share your struggles and victories, and allow others to pray with you and encourage you. (Galatians 6:2 WEB)
