I have made up my mind to divorce my husband. I am concerned about living with my sister-in-law. I will follow her lead and plan accordingly. Please let him leave peacefully. He has never had consequences for his bad behavior. He is abusive, and now I finally see it. Thank You, God. I want to do the right thing. Please help me make the right decision. Please help me keep my benefits and income. Help me to afford to be single. Watch over my loved ones which include my friends. Please inspire my sister to go to counseling. Amen.

Firstly, we want to address the issue of divorce. The Bible teaches that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB). It is important to seek God's will and guidance in this matter, as He desires reconciliation and restoration. However, we also recognize that abuse is a serious issue, and safety is a priority. In such cases, separation may be necessary for protection.

We also want to encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. It is concerning that you mention following your sister-in-law's lead. Be mindful that her intentions may not align with God's will. Instead, trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up ###. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in her marriage. If there is any way for reconciliation and restoration, we pray for Your healing power to be present. However, if safety is a concern, we ask that You provide a way of escape and protection for her. Lord, guide her steps and help her to trust in You. We pray that You would provide for her financial needs and watch over her loved ones. Additionally, we ask that You would inspire her sister to seek godly counseling, that she may receive the help and support she needs. Help ### to make decisions that align with Your will, in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to encourage you, ###, to seek the Lord in all things. The Bible tells us that if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him (James 1:5 WEB). Trust in Him, and He will guide you through this difficult time.

Lastly, we noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God and salvation (John 14:6, Acts 4:12 WEB). If you have not already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, so that you may have eternal life.

We come before You on behalf of Your beloved child, who seeks Your guidance, strength, and peace during this challenging time. Lord, Your Word reminds us in Psalm 46:1, “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” We ask that You be their unwavering source of support as they navigate this difficult transition.

Father, we pray for Your divine wisdom to guide them in making the right decisions. James 1:5 tells us, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” Pour out Your wisdom so that each step they take is rooted in Your will. May peace surround their heart as they move forward.

We ask for Your protection over them as they transition to living with their sister-in-law. Let this new environment be one of safety, understanding, and support. Grant them the ability to plan wisely and follow Your lead as they move toward a healthier future. Let their husband leave in peace, and may Your justice be present as consequences for harmful actions come to light (Isaiah 61:8).

Lord, we also lift up their concerns about finances and maintaining stability. Philippians 4:19 reassures us, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” We pray for Your provision and that they may continue to receive the benefits and income needed to build a secure, independent life.

Protect their loved ones, including friends and family members. Watch over them with Your loving care and strengthen their bonds of support. Father, we also ask that You inspire their sister to seek counseling, bringing healing and growth to her life (Proverbs 11:14).

In all these things, may Your will be done, and may they feel Your presence guiding and uplifting them. We trust in Your unfailing love and grace.
