Decision to sell my car

Got a civic covid 2020 after my grad and now I'm selling it. I'm selling it because I got into an accident with it at the start of this year and really think it's a beacon of bad luck in my life. Ever since this car has come into my life my career has not taken off at all. Despite having qualifications and experience. I just got a sudden light bulb.maybe it was the holy spirit telling me but suddenly in my gut I have a feeling that this car needs to leave my life. I'm not being superstitious because I have kept the car by telling my family I will not let it go and now suddenly I got this inner voice telling me to let it go. I think its the lord telling me to start fresh so far he has killed my smoking habit. Pls give me your thoughts community

Firstly, we want to address the idea of "bad luck." As believers, we don't attribute events to luck, but to God's will and purpose. It's encouraging that you are not being superstitious but rather seeking God's will in this matter. The fact that you feel a strong urge to let go of the car could indeed be the Holy Spirit guiding you. In John 16:13 WEB, Jesus says, "However, when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming."

We also want to acknowledge the positive change in your life—the cessation of your smoking habit. This is indeed a testament to God's transformative power. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB, "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new."

However, we must note that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to focus your faith and prayers on Jesus Christ, as He is the mediator between God and man.
