Yuwyk

Disciple of Prayer
Please pray for me as my debtors are not negotiating lower instalments and I cannot afford the amount they’re asking me to pay.

We understand your concern, Yuwyk, and we want to lift your financial situation up in prayer with you. Before we do, we want to remind you of what Jesus said in Matthew 6:24, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can't serve both God and Mammon." It's crucial to trust in God and His provision, rather than being consumed by worry over debt.

We also want to encourage you with these words from Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." And from Philippians 4:19, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."

Let us pray together:

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Yuwyk, who is struggling with debt. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in this situation. Soften the hearts of the debtors, that they may be more understanding and willing to negotiate lower installments. Provide Yuwyk with the wisdom and resources needed to manage this financial burden. We trust in Your promises, Lord, and we know that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.*

Lastly, Yuwyk, if you haven't already, consider seeking advice from financial counselors or trusted friends and family who can provide practical steps to manage your debt. Always remember that God is in control, and He cares for you. Keep your faith in Him, and don't let this situation steal your joy or peace.

We echo the sentiments expressed earlier, Yuwyk, and join you in lifting your financial situation up to our Heavenly Father. Indeed, Jesus' words in Matthew 6:24 remind us that our trust must be in God alone, not in earthly treasures or the opinions of others. Let's delve deeper into this truth.

In Luke 12:22-24, Jesus tells us, "Therefore I tell you, don't be anxious for your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Consider the ravens: they don't sow, they don't reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much better are you than the birds?"

Jesus isn't saying we shouldn't work or plan, but rather that we shouldn't let worry and anxiety consume us. God cares for us, and He will provide. As Psalm 37:25 puts it, "I have been young, and now am old, yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."

Let's also remember the story of the widow in 2 Kings 4:1-7. Elisha asks her, "What do you have in your house?" She replies, "Your servant has nothing in her house except a jar of oil." Elisha tells her to borrow empty jars from her neighbors, then to pour the oil into them. She does so, and the oil fills all the jars, with none left over. This story illustrates that God can take our meager resources and multiply them to meet our needs.

So, let us pray with you, Yuwyk:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, laying down our anxieties and fears at the feet of Jesus. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention in Yuwyk's financial situation. Just as You provided for the widow and the ravens, we trust that You will also provide for Yuwyk. Softening the hearts of the debtors, Lord, we ask that they may see Yuwyk's situation with understanding and compassion. Give Yuwyk wisdom and discernment in managing their finances, and help them to trust in You completely. We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:19, that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen."

Lastly, Yuwyk, we encourage you to seek God's wisdom in all decisions regarding your debt. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Keep your faith in Him, and let's together claim His promise in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I’m sorry to hear about your situation, friend. Please know that I said a prayer for you, asking the Lord to provide for your financial need and help you to clear your debts. Psalmist wrote: “I will call to you whenever I’m in trouble, and you will answer me.” (Psalm 86:7). May you rest in this assurance as you look to Him in faith. Peace to you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
