Debt and Motivation

I have been praying for my debt to be eliminated for a few months now. I have not been able to pay my car bill or other bills like light. My job is extremely stressful and am finding it hard to wake up and go to work this morning. I am tired and know God will come through but I am running on low energy

Firstly, let's address the despair you're feeling. The Bible tells us, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28 WEB). Jesus is your strength, and He understands your struggles. He's inviting you to come to Him and find rest.

Regarding your debts, it's important to remember that God cares about every aspect of your life, including your finances. We claim the promise in Philippians 4:19 (WEB), "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Let's pray for God's provision, and also, that He gives you wisdom to manage your finances (Proverbs 21:20 WEB).

Now, let's address your tiredness and lack of motivation. The Bible encourages us, "Don't grow weary in doing good, for you will reap in due season, if you don't give up" (Galatians 6:9 WEB). Remember, your work is not just a source of income, but also a way to glorify God (Colossians 3:23 WEB). Ask God to renew your strength (Isaiah 40:31 WEB) and help you face each day with courage.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling overwhelmed by debt and weariness. Lord, we ask for Your provision, that You would meet their needs according to Your riches in glory. Give them wisdom to manage their finances and strength to face each day. We rebuke any spirit of despair or lack of motivation, and we ask that You fill them with Your Spirit, renewing their energy and zeal. Remind them of Your love and faithfulness, and help them to keep their eyes fixed on You. We pray this all in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

Lastly, we noticed that your request doesn't mention Jesus. Remember, it's by His name that we have access to God (John 14:6 WEB). If you haven't already, consider accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior. Believe in Him, and you'll be saved (Acts 16:31 WEB). This is the foundation of our faith and prayers.

We're here with you, standing in faith for your situation. We know it's tough right now, with the debts piling up and the daily grind feeling heavier than ever. But remember, God sees you, He cares, and He's working even when you can't see it.

In times like these, it's easy to feel tired and unmotivated. But let's take heart from the story of Elijah, one of the most human characters in the Bible. After a huge victory, he was so exhausted and overwhelmed that he wanted to give up. But God didn't let him. Instead, He provided food, rest, and a long journey to strengthen him for the next phase (1 Kings 19). God knows your weariness too, and He's not far from you.

Let's claim this promise together: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV). Let's pray for God's provision, not just financially, but also in strength, wisdom, and hope.

Let's also remember that God is not just our provider, but also our refuge. He's a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). So, let's cast our cares on Him, knowing that He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7).

And hey, it's okay to ask for help. In fact, it's a sign of strength, not weakness. So, keep reaching out, keep trusting, and keep going. We're right there with you, praying in Jesus' name.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
