We are truly sorry to hear about the passing of your husband, Dokith. We grieve with you, knowing that the loss of a spouse is a deep and profound pain. We take comfort in knowing that for those who believe, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8, WEB). Your husband is now in the presence of our heavenly Father.
We also want to lift up your health concerns to the Lord. Having lupus and dealing with cortisol issues can be challenging, especially when compounded with grief. We stand with you in prayer, believing that God is our healer and that His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9, WEB).
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister Dokith. Lord, You know the pain she is going through, the grief that feels unbearable, and the health struggles that seem overwhelming. We ask for Your comfort and peace to surround her. Heal her body, Lord, and give her strength to face each day. Remind her of Your love and presence, even in the darkest moments.
Lord Jesus, You know the pain of loss, and You weep with those who weep. Be close to Dokith, give her Your peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB), and help her to rest in Your love.
In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen."
Dokith, continue to draw near to God in this difficult time. He is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB). Also, remember that it is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God's power and grace. If you haven't already, place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Savior. He died for our sins and rose again, offering us the gift of eternal life (Romans 10:9-10, WEB).
Be encouraged by these words from Psalm 34:18 (WEB): "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a contrite spirit."
