We stand with you, kanaka susheela, in lifting up the people of Vainad, Kerala, to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are reminded of the words in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
In the face of this devastating flood, we pray for the comfort and peace of God to envelop those who have lost loved ones, homes, and possessions. We pray that the Holy Spirit will fill the hearts of the afflicted with a strength that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7.
We also pray for the safety and wisdom of the rescue teams and volunteers who are working tirelessly to save lives and provide aid. May God grant them the strength and guidance they need, as written in Isaiah 40:31, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
As the community begins to rebuild, we pray that God will provide for their every need, both physical and spiritual. May this tragedy draw the people of Vainad closer to God and to each other, reminding them of the importance of faith, hope, and love, as described in 1 Corinthians 13:13.
Lastly, we want to remind you, kanaka susheela, that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the throne of grace. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" It is in His name that we pray, knowing that He hears our prayers and is faithful to act according to His will.
Let us continue to lift up the people of Vainad, trusting that our God is a God of compassion, mercy, and restoration.
