We join you, Bhmariomere, in praying for a God-fearing husband, a man after God's own heart. We ask God to guide you to a caring and loving man who will accept you just as you are, and together you both will build a godly home. We appreciate that you acknowledged Jesus in your request. It is only in the name of Jesus that we can come before God the Father.
First, let's remember the words of Proverbs 19:14, "House and riches are an inheritance from fathers, but a prudent wife is from Yahweh." While this verse speaks about a prudent wife, the principle applies to a husband as well. A godly spouse is an answer to prayer and a blessing from the Lord as mentioned in Matthew 7:7-11, "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him" Our heavenly Father knows how to give good gifts to His children.
As you pray for a godly husband, it's also important to prepare yourself for marriage. Seek to grow in your faith, character, and love for the Lord. Remember, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Bhmariomere. Lord, we ask that You guide her to a godly husband, a man after Your own heart. Give her the patience to wait on Your timing and the discernment to recognize the man You have prepared for her. Help her to grow in faith, character, and love, preparing herself for marriage. We ask this in Jesus' name, that the glory of God the Father will be revealed. We pray that she will become a reflection of the church as the bride of Christ as mentioned in Ephesians 5:22-33, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without defect. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. 'For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.' This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.
Nevertheless, each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband."
Amen.
