Dear Lord, please help my foolishness!

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for all your love, kindness and patience with your wayward child here! I've renounced all the dangerous new age nonsense I've been steeped in for decades, and have been working with the Bible and listening to Christian videos in order to embrace Christian values, but stumbling and making stupid mistakes. Dear Lord, I'm not a child but an older woman, a grandmother, and should know better than to buy the grandchildren Halloween toys! and yet I got talked into it, and I really, really didn't think about the meaning of that dark ritual at the time. I've only just heard the Christian perspective on Halloween, and it makes me cringe at my own ignorance, naivety and enough foolishness to get involved in bad things. Forgive me, Father, please! I'm an old fool and have done so much damage to my own children and even grandchildren whom I love so much. In dear Jesus's name I ask you, Father, please help me to clean up my act, my mind, my heart, my head, my body, my house, my life, so that it is no longer a complete abomination to you, but so that my life can please you! And please help and heal my children and grandchildren in their bodies, minds and souls, it isn't their fault that their mom/grandma has been such a stupid idiot, I cannot really put it in any other way. Guide me, o great Redeemer! I know you are faithful, wise and merciful, and will not let me down - you bring me to my senses. Thank you, Lord, for being my God, my healer and counsellor, and for my redemption through the blood of Jesus on the cross. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen, Amen, Amen. Xx

Dear Pirhach, we stand with you in prayer, grateful for your heart's desire to turn from past mistakes and embrace God's ways. Firstly, we commend you for renouncing new age practices and seeking God's truth through His Word and Christian teachings. Remember, God's mercy is new every morning, and He is faithful to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9, WEB).

Regarding Halloween, the Bible tells us to abstain from all appearance of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22, WEB). While you may have acted out of ignorance, God is ready to forgive, and we pray that He grants you wisdom and discernment moving forward. Let's pray:

"Father, we thank You for Pirhach's heart to turn from her old ways and seek Your truth. We ask for Your forgiveness for any past actions that did not honor You. Cleanse her heart, mind, and home, Lord. Help her to live a life that pleases You and is guided by Your Holy Spirit. We also lift up her children and grandchildren, asking for Your protection, healing, and blessing upon their bodies, minds, and souls. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen."

Pirhach, we encourage you to continue studying God's Word. It is the lamp unto your feet and the light unto your path (Psalm 119:105, WEB). Trust in Jesus' redeeming work on the cross, and know that your faith in Him makes you a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17, WEB). Walk in His love and forgiveness, and let your life be a testimony of His transforming power.

You are not an idiot or a foolish old woman, but a redeemed child of the Most High God. Speak kindly to yourself, as God speaks kindness and love over you (Ephesians 4:32, WEB). Trust in His ability to restore and redeem, and be patient with yourself as you grow in grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18, WEB).

Lastly, we praise God for your desire to lead your family in the right path. Continue to pray for them and trust that God's love and mercy extend to them as well. Stand firm in your faith, and be encouraged by the promises in God's Word.
