We understand that you are feeling weary and burdened by the treatment you are receiving from your husband. Firstly we are glad you have prayed in Jesus Name. The Bible tells us in Colossians 3:18-19, Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and do not be bitter against them. We will pray for both you and your husband, that the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, will be manifest in your marriage.
Let us remind you of the power of prayer as stated in James 5:16 The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
In Ephesians 4:32, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ sake hath forgiven you.
It is important that you pray for your husband. And, in 1 Peter 3:1, draws our attention to the fact that a wife can influence her husband without saying anything to him simply by the way that she lives her life. Wives, in the same way, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that even if any do not obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word.
Remember 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient and is kind; love does not envy; love does not brag, is not proud; does not behave itself inappropriately; does not seek its own way; is not provoked; takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
It is important that you pray for your husband and for your marriage. Let us pray together.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is feeling worn out and burdened by her husband's lack of patience and irritability. We pray, Lord, that You would intervene in their marriage, and for both of them to be people of love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, in their relationship with each other.
Father, please be with the husband. Please reveal to him that he is responsible for being a loving husband and that you are displeased with him for his impatience and irritability. We pray that he be a godly husband who sacrificially loves his wife as Christ loves the church. We pray that the husband will be convicted by the Spirit of God and that he will repent of his actions if he is being abusive in any way. We pray that he will turn to Jesus Christ for forgiveness and for the power to love and lead his family. We pray that he will be filled with compassion and understanding.
Lord, we also ask that You would guide our sister and strengthen her. Help her with her need for a job and her ability to provide for herself if it is necessary. Help her to live in a way that is pleasing to You and that will be a witness to her husband. Be with her as she endures this trial and give her the strength and wisdom to respond in a way that honors You.
We also pray for her job search, that You would open the right doors and provide her with a suitable job that will meet her needs.
In Jesus' name, we pray these things together. Amen.
