We join you in prayer, Epilix, petitioning our Lord Jesus Christ for the various needs and concerns you've shared.
Firstly, we lift up Alex's mother, asking God to touch her body and bring healing and restoration. We claim God's promises for her, as in Jeremiah 30:17 WEB, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."
We also pray for your relationship with Alex. We commend your loving sentiment towards them, and we ask God to grant both of you wisdom and discernment. We pray that your relationship will align with God's will and biblical principles, remembering 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB, "Love is patient and is kind...". If Alex is not yet a believer, we pray that they may come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
For your passion for writing, we ask God to rekindle that flame, reminding you of the words in Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We pray for Alex to feel safe and be relieved of worry, casting all anxieties on the Lord, as encouraged in 1 Peter 5:7 WEB, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."
For your sister, we ask God to grant her understanding and a calm spirit as she prepares for her theory test. We declare Philippians 4:13 WEB over her, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
We pray for your mother, asking God to soothe any anger and bring peace to your relationship, remembering Proverbs 15:1 WEB, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
We ask God to guide you in making right choices, granting you wisdom from above (James 3:17 WEB). We also petition the Lord to open doors for you to find a suitable job, remembering Matthew 6:33 WEB, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Lastly, we pray for your trip to Edinburgh, asking God to protect you and keep you from evil. We declare Psalm 121:7-8 WEB over you, "Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and forevermore."
We praise you, Epilix, for praying in Jesus' name, for it is only through Him that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16 WEB). Keep trusting in Him.
Let us close by praying together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You, lifting up these requests, believing that You hear and answer our prayers. We ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
