Dear Lord Jesus, we come before you today with a prayer for the peace of Jerusalem. Just as the psalmist cried out, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee" , we join our hearts in intercession for the city that holds great significance in your plan of redemption.
We ask, Lord, that you would establish and make Jerusalem a praise in the earth, as your Word declares . We pray for the protection and well-being of the people living in Jerusalem, that they may experience your peace that surpasses all understanding .
We also pray for the advancement of your kingdom in Jerusalem and throughout the world. May your Gospel be proclaimed with power and conviction, breaking down every barrier and bringing reconciliation between people of different backgrounds and cultures .
Lord, we lift up the leaders and decision-makers in Jerusalem, asking for wisdom and discernment as they navigate complex situations. Grant them your guidance and help them to make choices that align with your will.
We pray for unity among believers in Jerusalem, that they may be a shining example of your love and grace. May their love abound more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that they may approve what is excellent and be filled with the fruits of righteousness .
Finally, Lord, we ask that you would give us, your Church, a burden for Jerusalem and the peace of the entire world. Help us to be faithful intercessors, reminding you of your promises and giving you no rest until your purposes are fulfilled .
