Dear Lord,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up Cilpera's prayer request for her son, David Eli. Lord, we ask that you would grant David the ability to speak and communicate. We pray that you would open his mouth and give him the words to express himself. Just as the little boy in the story prayed by saying the alphabet, we believe that you can take David's words and put them together into meaningful communication.
Your Word tells us in Psalm 25:11, "For thy name's sake, O LORD, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great." We ask for your forgiveness and mercy, Lord, as we bring this request before you. We know that you are a God who hears and answers prayers, and we trust in your faithfulness.
We also remember the words of Daniel in Daniel 9:17, "Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake." Lord, we ask that you would shine your face upon David and his family, bringing healing and restoration to his ability to speak.
We pray with expectation, knowing that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think . We believe that you can work miracles in David's life, enabling him to communicate in ways that bring glory to your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
