I am overwhelmed and having a hard time putting my feelings in words. I have used scripture and borrowed other people's words to express my wants and needs. I've been working on this issue for quite some time now. I am going to have to make a choice very soon; just one wrong word could make for a huge fight. I need God's wisdom and Christ's love and forgiveness. I pray for a good outcome and the strength to accept if it isn't time.
In great humility, I thank you, Lord Jesus Christ, for all I have received and please forgive me my sins that I may forgive those that have hurt me. Please continue to be with my family and guide them to Your light.
I really do know my anxiety and depression are the primary cause of our marital issues. Bad habits and getting older can see the impact I played in my situation. It has brought me closer to God, made me appreciate Jesus's sacrifices, love he showed for all. I spent many years of life always aware of God's presence in my life. The good Lord has saved my life more than once. I fought God's will more than once and paid the price. Today I live in a more Christ-like way in every way today. Forgiveness, humility, charitable, and kind. To show gratitude for all of God's gifts. I need God's wisdom and guidance, have the strength to accept God's will for me. I need Your healing touch, please God, guide me...

We are grateful for your heartfelt prayer request and for your desire to seek God's will in your family situation.

The scriptures encourage us to understand, support, and forgive each other as it says in Ephesians 4:32: Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

We are also called to communicate with love and patience, as it says in 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud.

Marriage is a lifelong commitment. No where in the bible does it say that marriage should be temporary. In fact, God HATES divorce.

Malachi 2:16 For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and him who covers his garment with violence! says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and don't be unfaithful.

This makes it clear, that even if your husband is not living up to your expectations, there is no biblical basis for separating from him. You should forgive him and move forward with your life. In fact, others should be looking at your marriage and seeing the power of Jesus Christ and his work on the cross.

1 Peter 3:1 In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word.

This means you need to work on your marriage with the expectation that it will last for your entire life.

The Bible also tells us to cast our anxieties on God, as it says in 1 Peter 5:7: casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.

We also appreciate and are glad you know that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God.

John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family to you, It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

God, give them the strength to forgive each other, to let go of past hurts, and to move forward with love and understanding. Help them to communicate with love and patience. Help them to work on their marriage.

Lord, we ask you to guide this family in your will. Give them the wisdom to overcome obstacles and the courage to learn from their experiences. Fill their home with your calming presence, and help them to find joy and happiness in each other and in your blessings.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
