We are here with you in your time of need, and we appreciate your cry out to God. It is so important that in our requests, we acknowledge the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Which is why we pray in the name of Jesus, as it is only by His name that we have access to God.
Notice how the Apostle Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:15-21 WEB for the church in Ephesus: "For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints, 16. do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, 17. that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him, 18. having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19. and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might, 20. which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, 21. far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come."
Without Jesus Christ, we would not have access to the Father. Without His death and resurrection, we would not have the gift of the Holy Spirit dwelling within us teaching us His Will. So, we make sure we understand to pray to the Father in the name of His Son Jesus Christ as it is written in John 16:23 WEB: "In that day you will not ask me anything. Most assuredly I tell you, whatever you may ask the Father in my name, he will give it to you."
Let us pray together for you:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow brother who has reached out to You for help. We do not know the details of their struggle, but You do, Lord. You know every hair on their head and every thought in their mind. You see the pain they are going through, and You care about them deeply.
We pray that You will reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way, Lord. Show them Your love, Your grace, and Your mercy. Guide them through this trial, and help them to trust in You with all their heart. Give them the strength to endure, the wisdom to understand Your will, and the courage to follow Your path.
If they have not already done so, we pray that they will come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. That they will repent of their sins and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit as it is written in Acts 2:38 WEB: "Peter said to them, Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. "
We ask this all in Jesus' name, Amen."
