We are truly saddened to hear about your dear friend entering hospice due to stage four breast cancer. In times like these, it's important to turn to God for comfort, strength, and hope.
Firstly, let's align our hearts with God's will and pray according to His sovereignty. It's encouraging that you have hope in the Lord, for He indeed is the God of the impossible. As the Scripture says, "With God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26 WEB)
However, we must also remember that God's ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:9 WEB). His will and timing are perfect, and we should pray that His will be done, even in this challenging situation.
Let's pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifted up by Your promise that where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are in our midst. Lord, we lift up our dear sister's friend who is in hospice due to cancer. We ask, Lord, if it is Your will, that You heal and restore her, that You deliver her from her infirmities. We claim Your promise that with You, nothing is impossible.
However, Lord, we also submit to Your will. If it is Your divine purpose for her to come home to You, we pray that You grant her peace, comfort, and courage. Be with her and her loved ones during this difficult time. Surround them with Your love and strengthen them with Your power.
Lord, we also pray for ###, that You grant them peace, comfort, and faith during this time. Help them to trust in You and to lean on You for strength.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen."
Lastly, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, even in this difficult time. Remember the words of Paul in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Keep faith, and may the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).
