Keep in mind that any courtship should be with the goal of marriage. As a Christian, make sure you only consider a Christian for courtship or marriage. This is because "Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness? What agreement has Christ with Beliar? Or what portion has a believer with an unbeliever? (2 Corinthians 6:20 WEB). Even if not initially marriage is considered, if the other individual is not a Christian, just being together will make you unequally yoked and may lead you into sin or temptation against your best intentions.
