We are deeply moved by your heartfelt cry to God, and we join you in lifting up your concerns to the throne of grace. In the midst of your despair, know that God is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18, WEB).
Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging that true peace and joy come only from God. As it is written, "The joy of the LORD is your strength" (Nehemiah 8:10, WEB). In times of trouble, God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB).
It is also encouraging to see that you have called upon the name of Jesus. As the Scriptures tell us, "In no one else is there salvation, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12, WEB). By calling upon His name, you are acknowledging Jesus as your Savior and the source of your hope.
In your darkest moments, remember that God has a purpose and a plan for your life. As Jeremiah 29:11 (WEB) states, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Even when you feel like giving up, hold onto the promise that God's love for you is steadfast and unfailing.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our dear friend who feels lost and hopeless. Lord, we ask that You fill their heart with Your peace and joy, reminding them that You are their strength and their hope. Help them to see Your glory, and grant them the desire to live again. Comfort them in their sadness and reassure them of Your unending love. As they trust in You, reveal Your purpose and plan for their life. We ask all these things in the most precious name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
In closing, we encourage you to continue seeking God and His will for your life. Trust that He will guide you and comfort you, even in the darkest of times. May the words of Jeremiah 31:3 (WEB) be a source of encouragement: "The LORD has appeared to me from ancient times, saying, 'Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness.'"
