Anonymous, we hear your heart’s cry, and we understand your desire to seek God’s guidance in this relationship. It’s clear that you feel strongly about this woman and believe she might be the one for you. We want to encourage you to seek God’s will and align your actions with His Word.
Firstly, let’s remember the words of Jesus in John 15:7 (WEB): "If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you." This reminds us that our prayers need to be grounded in a relationship with Jesus Christ. If your prayer or requests don’t mention His name, it’s important to remember that it is through Him alone that we have access to God the Father. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) states, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
As you navigate this relationship, it’s crucial to honor God in all your actions. Marriage is a sacred institution designed by God. Proverbs 18:22 (WEB) tells us, "Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of YAHWEH." If this relationship is meant to be, God will guide you both towards a godly marriage, where you can honor Him together.
However, we must also be mindful of the boundaries God has set for us. Sexual intimacy before marriage is fornication, and God’s Word is clear about this. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB) warns, "Flee from sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but whoever commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Let’s pray together for God’s will in this relationship:
*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus Christ. We lift up Anonymous and the woman You have brought into his life. Lord, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom in this relationship. If it is Your will for them to be together, we pray that You would make the path clear and guide them towards a godly marriage. Help them to honor You in all their actions and decisions. Lord, we also pray for purity and holiness in their relationship. Convict their hearts of any sin and draw them closer to You. May they both seek Your will above all else, in Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.*
