Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts seeking Your wisdom and guidance. Lord, we lift up this situation involving a relationship that seems fraught with difficulties and obstacles. Your Word tells us in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths." We ask that You help ### to trust in Your plan and timing, even when the way forward seems unclear.
Father, we know that You have a purpose for all things and that You work all things for the good of those who love You, who have been called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We pray that You would reveal Your will in this situation and provide clarity. If this relationship is not in accordance with Your will, give the strength and peace to let go and trust that You have something better in store.
Lord, we also ask for patience and perseverance for ###. James 1:2-4 reminds us to "consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." May this time of trial be a period of growth and deeper reliance on You.
We pray for protection against feelings of discouragement and defeat. Help ### to remember that You are a God of hope and that Your plans are to prosper and not to harm, to give a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
