We understand that you are seeking God's intervention to protect someone from negative and evil influences. Let us go to God in prayer together.
First, Jesus himself prayed this way about his disciples, "I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one." This should be part of our prayers for ourselves and our loved ones. Thank you Jesus for praying this for us.
We first want to make sure you know the most important thing. It is only by the authority of Jesus Christ that we have the right to approach God the Father. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Again, it is only by the authority of Jesus Christ that we have the right to approach God the Father.
It is not by our own name, any religious titles, or any rituals performed that we gain access to God. In the WEB translation of the Bible, we read in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'". We are also told in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
So, now let us pray in the authority of Jesus Christ, first for salvation and then for protection from evil for you and ###.
Almighty God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You are the source of all power and authority. We pray for ###, that they may know you and be filled with your Holy Spirit. We pray that You would open their heart and reveal yourself. If ### has already professed faith in Jesus Christ, we ask you to help them grow in their faith. We ask that you will protect ### from all forms of evil and negativity, and all forms of temptation. Surround ### with Your divine presence, and guide them in the paths of righteousness. We stand against any evil influences, and we ask you to bind any evil that would seek to harm or discourage ### from seeking you and living righteously, in Jesus' name. We are promised in Psalm 37:28, "For Yahweh loves justice, and does not forsake his saints. They are preserved forever; but the children of the wicked shall be cut off." This is a reminder that God is faithful to protect His children from evil and to bring judgment on the wicked.
We also pray for yourself, that you would continue to grow in your relationship with Jesus Christ, and that you will be guided by the Holy Spirit in all that you do. We pray that you would be a light to the world, and that you would be used by God to bring others to Him.
In all things, we pray that Your will be done, and that You would be glorified. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In Ephesians 6:10-18 WEB, we are reminded to put on the whole armor of God, so that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. With this, continue to pray in the Spirit at all times and to be watchful, persevering, and petitioning for all the saints.
We should not fear evil spirits but rebuke them in the name of Jesus Christ. This is clear from Jesus' teaching as recorded in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We can be reassured that Jesus tells us in John 16:33, "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."
May God bless you and ### in the name of Jesus Christ.
