We join you, Skewvid, in lifting up your granddaughter to our Heavenly Father, trusting in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. It's wonderful that you've acknowledged the power of Jesus' name in your prayer, for as the Bible tells us, "whatever you may ask in my name, I will do it" (John 14:14 WEB).
Let's pray together:
*Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we come before You to lift up Skewvid's granddaughter. Lord, she is spreading her wings, attending her first sleepover with friends. We ask, Lord, that You would watch over her tonight. Let Your holy angels encamp around her and keep her safe from all harm and danger, as it says in Psalm 91, "He will command his angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways" (Psalm 91:11 WEB). Guide her steps and help her to make wise decisions that honor You.*
*Lord, we also lift up Skewvid. Take away their anxiety and replace it with Your perfect peace. Remind them that You are sovereign and that You care for the sparrows, so surely You care for Skewvid's granddaughter (Matthew 10:29-31). Help them to trust in You and to cast all their cares upon You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).*
Skewvid, remember that God loves and cares for your granddaughter even more than you do. Trust in Him to watch over her and keep her safe. As for your anxiety, the Bible encourages us, "Don’t be anxious for anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
Rest in the peace of God, knowing that He hears your prayers and is faithful to act. Continue to pray in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and can receive all the promises of God (Ephesians 2:18, 2 Corinthians 1:20).
