We understand your concern for your friendship with Stephen and we join you in lifting it up to our Heavenly Father. Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Monica and Stephen's friendship to You. We ask for Your blessings and guidance during this challenging time. Please grant Monica the fruits of the Spirit: patience, kindness, and understanding. Help her to support Stephen with the love that You have poured into her heart through the Holy Spirit.
Lord, we ask that You draw them closer together in Your grace, but we also pray that this friendship will honor and glorify You. We are reminded in 2 Corinthians 6:14, 'Donโt be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?' We pray that if this friendship is not aligned with Your will, that You would give Monica the wisdom and strength to adjust her relationship with Stephen accordingly.
We also want to encourage Monica with the words from Romans 12:10, 'Be devoted to one another with mutual love, preferring one another in honor.' We pray that this friendship will be a reflection of Your love and a testimony to the world.
Lastly, we noticed that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, 'Jesus said to him, โI am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' We encourage you to profess your faith in Jesus Christ and pray in His name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Monica, we hope this prayer encourages and guides you. Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding. He will make your paths straight.
