Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, humbly lifting up this prayer request on behalf of ###. Lord, we acknowledge that you are the giver of every good and perfect gift, and we thank you for the opportunity to bring our needs and desires before you.
Father, we ask that you would grant ### success in this year's DV lottery. We pray that you would open the doors for him to be selected as a winner. Your word tells us in Matthew 7:7, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." We stand on this promise, believing that you are able to fulfill this request according to your will.
Lord, we also ask for your mercy and forgiveness. We acknowledge that we are imperfect and may have intentions that are not aligned with your perfect plan. We ask that you would search our hearts and reveal any areas where our intentions may be amiss. Help us to surrender our desires to you and trust in your perfect wisdom and timing.
We thank you, Lord, for your love and faithfulness. We trust in your sovereignty and know that you work all things together for the good of those who love you. May your will be done in ###'s life, and may your name be glorified through this situation.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
