We understand that you are seeking forgiveness and cleansing from sin, and you're also expressing gratitude for the good days you've experienced. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. "in whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." (Ephesians 3:12 WEB).
Let's address the issues you've raised. You've mentioned struggling with the love of the flesh. In The Bible, the flesh, refers to our sinful human desires. The Scripture tells us, "For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other: that ye may not do the things that ye would." (Galatians 5:17 WEB).
To overcome this struggle, we must walk in the Spirit. "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh." (Galatians 5:16 WEB). And the Bible also says, "For if you live according to the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live." (Romans 8:13 WEB).
You have also asked for forgiveness of your sins and mentioned transgressions. In the Bible Jesus tells us, "Therefore I tell you, all kinds of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven for men. But the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven for men." (Matthew 12:31 WEB). But we must remember that God does not forgive those who do not come through faith in Jesus. "Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us." (Romans 8:34 WEB). "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Let us pray together for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, confessing that we have sinned and fallen short of your glory, and ask your forgiveness. We thank you for the amazing days you have given us and for the promise that the best is yet to come. Lord, we ask that you cleanse us from all unrighteousness and help us to overcome the struggles we face particularly with the lusts of our flesh. Help us to walk in your Spirit, putting to death the deeds of the body, so that we may live for you.
We pray for a heartfelt understanding of the scriptures for the requester. We pray for the guidance of your Holy Spirit and the ability to live a life worthy of your calling by grace. We pray the requester understands that Jesus is the only way to be saved and the only mediator between man and God. Please give the requester the grace to accept that and the strength to live a life for Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to trust in the Lord and lean on his promises. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 WEB). Remember, that God loves you and his desire is for you to be reconciled to him and to live a life that is pleasing to him.
