Disciple of Prayer
Dear God
A few years ago, I had a house, a girlfriend, a career as a licensed professional, my parents and owned my own business. I started a business with a "friend" and within one year, that business was in trouble and I lost the business. The business made between 5 and 8 million dollars in one year. After the business was set up, I decided not to take any money because I believed that there were things going on that I didn't like. My partner was running the business and I was taking care of another business so I was not there at all except for maybe 4 times the whole year the business was running. I had to close the business down and did not make a penny while everyone else made a lot of money. After losing the business, I also lost my professional license because of what happened at the business. After I lost my license, I lost my house. Then, my mother (whom I was very close to) passed away. I lost my relationship (my girlfriend). I now live with my elderly father who, to some degree, supports me. I only work part time now. At first I was angry at God not understanding why I was going through so much, but then I put things in perspective and realized that I really should be so thankful. Many around the world are so much worse off than me. I ask you Lord, and to those that read this, to please pray for me so that I may be able to regain my career and pay back all those have helped me along the way. I never lost my faith, even in my darkest moments. I was angry, but never lost my faith. God help me. Thank you, Lord and thank you to all those that pray for me as well.
