We come before you, Lord, to lift up this troubled son and his concerned mother. We ask for Your protection and peace to surround him, as Your word tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB).
We pray that this young man will find comfort and guidance in You, Jesus, and not turn to man-made solutions alone. While professional help can be beneficial, we know that true healing and wisdom come from You. We pray that he will confide in You, Lord, as You are the ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB).
We also want to address the mention of praying to a guardian angel and the Holy Spirit alone. While the Holy Spirit is indeed our Comforter and Guide, sent by Jesus (John 14:26, WEB), we must remember that our prayers should be directed to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, as taught in scripture (John 15:16, WEB). There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
We rebuke any belief or superstition that a pregnant woman or anyone else can have power over him. As his mother wisely told him, no one has power over us except God. We pray that any spiritual bondage or fear will be broken in Jesus' name, for "there is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear" (1 John 4:18, WEB).
We encourage this young man to pursue godly counsel, whether from spiritual leaders, the Bible, or wise believers around him. We pray that he will find strength in the Lord and not lean on his own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
Lastly, we pray for his mother, that she will find peace and guidance as she supports her son. May she rest in the assurance that God loves and cares for her son even more than she does.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
