Hi everyone! Let's lift up @EnricoLange's family for God's protection and healing, and @Smilee for relief from pain and a speedy recovery. Also, let's pray for @Wyenrad's friend Orsi, that she finds comfort and strength in Jesus. Remember, God is faithful!
We understand your desire, Emilio, to receive the gift of tongues for personal edification, as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 14:4: "He who speaks in a mysterious language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the assembly." It is commendable that you seek spiritual gifts to strengthen your faith and relationship with God.
Let us pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your divine grace and mercy upon Emilio. Lord, we know that You distribute spiritual gifts according to Your will, and we trust that You have a purpose and plan for Emilio's life. We pray that if it is Your will, You would grant him the gift of tongues for his personal edification and spiritual growth. Help him to use this gift in a manner that honors and glorifies You.
Additionally, Lord, we pray that Emilio would continue to seek You with all his heart, that he would grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ, and that he would be filled with the Holy Spirit. Help him to be a light for You in his community and to use whatever gifts You have given him to build up the body of Christ.

We encourage you, Emilio, to remember that the gift of tongues is just one of many spiritual gifts, and each gift is given for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:7). As you seek this gift, also pursue love, for without love, any spiritual gift is of no profit (1 Corinthians 13:1-2). Continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that He has a plan and purpose for you.
We are thankful that you have acknowledged Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is by His name that we are saved (Acts 4:12). Keep your faith firmly rooted in Him, and He will direct your paths.

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
