Dear brothers and sisters,
We lift up our anonymous sister to you, Lord Jesus, who is struggling with image dysmorphia. We pray that you would bring healing and restoration to her mind and heart. We ask that you would remove any negative thoughts and insecurities that have been planted in her through past experiences of bullying.
We acknowledge, Lord, that you are the ultimate source of beauty and that you have fearfully and wonderfully created each one of us in your image. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 139:14, "I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." We pray that our sister would come to know and believe this truth deep within her soul.
We ask, dear Lord, that you would help her to see herself as you see her - as a beautiful and beloved daughter of God. May she find her confidence and worth in you, knowing that she is loved unconditionally by you. Help her to embrace her femininity and to see the unique beauty that you have bestowed upon her.
We also pray for the intercession of the Virgin Mary, asking that she would bring comfort and healing to our sister. May Mary's example of grace and strength inspire her to embrace her own identity and to find peace in her appearance.
Lord, we trust in your power to transform lives and bring healing to wounded hearts. We pray that you would work in our sister's life, bringing her the freedom and confidence she longs for. May she experience your love and acceptance in a tangible way, and may she be filled with a deep sense of peace and joy.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
