Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. There seems to be a lot going on these days. Please pray for the students, staff, neighbors, friends, families, first responders, media folks, medical staff, and anyone else dealing with the fatal shooting at Marysville High School in Western Washington. Please continue praying for the elderly gentleman who was recently struck by a deputy sheriff's vehicle. Pray for the deputy too. Please keep my son Josh and his girlfriend Brianna (and her son) up in prayer. They, along with my granddaughter Danielle (whose mother killed herself almost two-years ago), myself, and my mom Doris are in the midst of a terrible situation. Danielle is having some serious issues at school. She's disruptive, she hurts her friends, she lies, and seems to feel she doesn't have to answer to anyone. My mom seems to think because Danielle's mom was an addict and probably used during the pregnancy Danielle has every right to act out and not listen to anyone. It's getting out of hand. She hears voices that aren't there. She has recently started laughing uncontrollably for no apparent reason. She get's a look in her eyes that quite frankly scares me. I'm no expert in the field of psychiatry or psychology but she this six year-old displays schizophrenic behavior (and she does it at home, at school, and at daycare). Whatever the cause, she and the rest of my family need a lot of prayer. Please pray for Doris's boyfriend Tom too. He's getting up there and his health seems to be declining. I'm afraid he won't be around much longer. Pray also that Tom's family would start making an effort to visit him before it's too late. He has some wonderful stories to share and needs some fresh ears to listen. Pray for the rest of my family, especially my dad, step-mom, stepsister, sister and brother in law, nephews, half-brothers, half-daughter, son, daughter, ex-wives, ex-step-children, aunt and uncle, cousins, and the countless distant and not so-distant relatives I have not mentioned. The entire family could definitely use a lot of prayer. Pray for me too. I've got problems at work (my hours have been cut) and I really feel I should start looking for a new job. Please ask God to help me to be nicer to people and lose the judgmental attitude that causes me to find so much fault with the people I deal with. Pray for my health. It's been a long time since I felt good. Pray for my shoulder too. I went in Friday morning for surgery which appears to have gone well. Please ask God to see to it that I heal up quickly. Oh, there's plenty more. I’m about 70 pounds overweight, my teeth and gums are bad, my knees are bad, I need glasses, I need to eat better, I need to exercise, and I need to mend a bunch of fences in the relationship area (emotional and/or psychological issues abound in my brain). I’ve suffered far too many concussions, I used way too many illegal drugs, and I sure need to get my shoulder fixed. I’m a convicted felon, been married and divorced three-times, and I can’t seem to take care of my finances. At the present time I live in a rundown trailer on family property with no real plumbing and can only prepare meals in a microwave. Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful for what I have, it’s just I’m feeling like a flake and would really like to see God help me out of this situation I’ve gotten myself into. Please pray for the community I live and work in. We have a very serious drug problem here and nobody seems to want to admit it and as a result nothing is being done about it. Please ask our Lord to open people's eyes and allow them to see what's really going on here. Ask Him to cause folks here to take a stand and work towards eliminating the problems we have here with meth, heroin, and prescription drugs. It's a mess. Ask God to help me to find the right words when I’m dealing with folks who would rather not believe in the God of the Bible, who would deny any and all Truth in the Bible yet they find it far too easy to believe every foolish lie and every outright conspiracy theory that pops up on their computer, TV, or newspaper page. They readily believe and willingly follow every new Supernatural New Age belief system that comes along. They hold fast to the traditions of Wicca, consult Tarot cards and practitioners of Astrology and Numerology. Believing in God’s Word is foolish, yet they anxiously await word from long dead philosophers, friends, and relatives through mediums or soothsayers and those with the “gift†of clairvoyance. They seek approval from mythological deities, believe in UFOs and extra-terrestrials, and know for certain that the galactic federation will visit us soon to resolve all of the ills that plague our society. Pray for Jason who is recovering from back surgery. Please pray for Roxanne who had to resign her post because of her failing health. Please offer an extra prayer for David, his brother Jack, the rest of his family, his acquaintances, his employees, and all of his gambling buddies who feel they are not only above the law, but feel they have not only the right, but the duty to ridicule and insult those who don’t see eye to eye with the way they perform countless questionable business practices and outright illegal activities. These folks take great pride in making veiled threats toward those who disagree with them while shaking their hands or giving them a big hug in public. These are evil people who are doing serious harm to our community. They enjoy spreading damaging rumors and telling vicious and terrible lies about the good people of our community. Ask God to cause them to repent and start fixing the damage they’ve done. Please ask God to close them down before someone gets hurt. Please pray for Virginia who is applying for a new job. She's had a tough go of it. Over the past 10 years or more she's made a number of bad decisions. She's burnt too many bridges with friends and unfortunately with family too. She's got an addictive personality, and has the attitude that she can take what she wants, as much as she wants, and doesn't have to pay people back, or suffer any sort of consequence for her actions or attitudes. Everyone seems to owe her and it's always everybody else that is at fault. She owes her family thousands of dollars, and me around $12,000.00 for monies stolen and borrowed. Please ask God to put it in her heart to make restitution (or at least make an effort to repay what she's taken). Pray for her son Chris, who is a convicted drug dealer and an addict who appears to be using again. That probably means he's selling and stealing again. Pray also for her older son Brad, who appears to be doing well. Unfortunately if he's hanging out with his brother Chris it's only a matter of time before he's using and stealing again as well. Pray for their sister Candace who is always of the opinion that she's better than everyone else and above reproach. It's time for an attitude adjustment. Pray also for Bridgette. She has been covering her mom's debts (Virginia), and working so hard it's killing her in an effort to keep her small business (a daycare center) that her mom almost destroyed and left to her before she bailed. Please pray for her boyfriend Joe too. She had a restraining order out against him and it looks like they are back together. I'm worried about Joe's kids Emma and Wes who have witnessed the abuse. Ask God to nkeep them safe while the relationship issues are being worked out. Ask that God's Will be done in all of their lives. Please continue praying for Bobby and Lynette. They’re probably in need of some financial help as well. Pray for their kids too. Please pray for Kevin. He has some serious control and anger issues that appear to be destroying his family. Pray for Chris. He’s a former high school drug dealer and a recovering addict. Please pray for my mom and her boyfriend Tom. He has some fairly serious health issues and I’m afraid he may not be around too much longer. Ask that God’s Will be done in both of their lives. Pray for Leighanne who is not only recovering from a stroke, but is in serious financial hardship as well. Please pray for Liz and her family. This poor kid is finally out of prison and needs help getting her life back together. Help her entire family. Please pray for Megan and her children. Her husband is going to prison for about three years and she’s got a lot to deal with such as raising her three or four girls by herself, etc. Pray for Jennifer who is now engaged to be married. Ask that His Will be done in her life, the life of her fiance, and the lives of their children. Please pray for Mary Kate. She’s battling cancer. Pray for her family too. Pray for Tori who has just moved to Hawaii. Pray for Danielle, who is leaving our community. Pray for our elected officials at all levels of government (federal, state, county, local; and the overseas or foreign equivalents too). Ask God to help them to make the right decisions to benefit mankind. Pray also for those who serve and protect us, also at the local, county, state, and federal levels, plus the foreign or overseas counterparts, including police officers, sheriff’s deputies, constables, marshals, sheriffs, border and customs officers, forest and park rangers, security officer, corrections officers, and parking and traffic control officers; pray also for those working as firefighters, EMTs, EMS, Paramedics, Search and Rescue, and Volunteers. Please pray for those in uniform, the ones who serve and protect us. I’m talking about the members of our armed forces like the Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, Army, Reservists, and National Guard; and all of the Retirees, Veterans, and their family members; plus any and all of their overseas or foreign counterparts. Please pray for Kathleen and her children. They have all had a rough time of it with the loss of her husband (a retired Army veteran) to cancer. Pray for Farhan, his family, and his congregation up in prayer. These folks are living, worshiping, and working in a war-torn, predominantly Muslim part of the world. They face daily persecution and need our prayers. Please pray for Elizabeth who is experiencing some financial hardship. She is also trying to raise two autistic kids. Please ask God to cause musicians like Bobby, Phil, Darryl, Karen, Barry, and Oden to participate in such a gathering of Born Again performers. Please pray for the close friends, co-workers, and families of: Marion, Shannon, Annie, Ben, Jennifer, Jarrae, Martha, Kianna, Vipul, Alex, Matthew, Brandon, Jennifer, Alejandro, Joel, Albin, Helen, Bruce, George, Benjamin, David, Joyce, Bill, Tom, Joseph, Ruth, Marilyn, Jack, Brittany, Lahoma, Andrea, Lexandra, Lexi, Simon, Ronald, John, Ernesto, Charles, Gia, Audrey, Brett, Jaylen, Adam, Mike, Dane, Al, Andrew, Michael, Lester, Mike, Chris, Ryan, Eddie, Sam, Freedom, Ted, Rob, Jane, John, Erika, Carol, RC and Jennifer. These folks recently passed away and their survivors need our Heavenly Father’s help in dealing with their losses. Please pray for Eddie and his wife Genie. Please continue praying for the folks living in Ukraine. Pray too for the folks in Ferguson and St. Louis. Please don't forget the folks living in and around Napa. Only our Heavenly Father can fix these messes. I ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.
