Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today on behalf of our dear brother or sister in Christ, who is earnestly seeking to do Your will and to keep their focus on You. Your Word assures us in Philippians 4:13 that "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." We ask for Your divine strength to be upon this individual, that they may overcome the temptations and trials that come their way.
Lord, we know that 1 Corinthians 10:13 promises, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." We pray that You provide a way out for our brother or sister whenever they face temptation, and that they may have the wisdom and courage to take it.
Father, we also remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." Help this individual to trust in You completely, submitting all their ways to You, so that their path may be straight and aligned with Your will.
We ask for Your Holy Spirit to fill them, guiding and comforting them as they strive to live a life pleasing to You. May Your grace be sufficient for them, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."
Lord, we pray that Your will be done in their life, and that they may experience Your peace which surpasses all understanding, as described in Philippians 4:7. Surround them with Your love and protection, and help them to keep their eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
