Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Please pray for my mom. She's frail, elderly and is losing her cognitive and social skills at a fairly rapid pace. I try to take care of her as best I can, but it's becoming more and more difficult. She no longer seems no the difference between reality and imagination. She thinks she says and does things which she hasn't said or done, or denies doing or saying things she has done or said. Please ask God to help me take better care of her and be less judgmental. I ask this in Jesus Name. Amen.
The sad part of growing old is we've been programmed by the world that this is what to expect, so as our parents get older, we are looking for the signs of old age. In the Old Testament, as the children of Israel came out of Egypt, there was a time of killing a lamb, putting the blood on the doorpost and lintels, and then roasting that slaughtered lamb and eating it, and do you know not one person that were of Israel, came out feeble. Everyone was healed, everyone was made strong, limbs lost were restored, the blind saw, the deaf heard, the dumb spoke, the lame walked, it was miraculous. Moses was 120 years old and was not dim of sight and his natural force was not abated, means he was strong and capable.
In Psalms it talks about God filling our mouth with good and renewing our youth as the eagles. I just wanted to put that out there for you.
As per your mother, God loves her and for her to be in this state that she is, is definitely not His will. This is definitely the work of the devil, who is defeated. If she is a believer, she is the righteousness of God in Christ. She has a sound mind, a right mind, the mind of Christ. As you take care of her, start speaking the word of God over her. Start blessing her with life and health, sound mind. I bless you Mom with life and health. I declare the word of God over you, with long life (healthy) I will satisfy you and show you my salvation. You will live and not die and declare the works of the Lord. You can start reading Ephesians or have the bible on audio going. Your mom is oppressed of the devil, in this western world we call it a disease...well, hear the good news, the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death (sickness and disease). By the stripes of Jesus, she is healed.
Father, thank you for grace and for your mercies which are new everyday. Holy Spirit direct this daughter's steps and pour out wisdom, knowledge and understanding on how to minister to her mother. May the love of God overflow as she ministers life to her and and bless this situation with Your shalom In the name of Jesus, I bind that lying devil and loose Mom from this infirmity. In the name of Jesus. Amen. And Lord, God bless this woman in loving care for her mom.
I heard a testimony of a man taking communion everyday (Creflo Dollar when he was diagnosed with cancer) and he said:
"the communion because there was power in recognizing that this bread represents his body which was broken for me. Hallelujah and I started reminding myself that this body's been broken for me so that whatever's broken on me can be made whole. So now and I would look at this bread every night, and say, "now this is my medicine. I'm taking the body of Jesus Christ, the broken body of Jesus and I said, [smack) take that sickness/disease (name the infirmity), in the name of Jesus. And I take the cup and the blood of that cup and I drink it. I said "this is the blood of the Covenant that guarantee me that my healing is there, then I'm already healed. So I take the cup "and I overcome this sickness this sickness/disease (name the infirmity) by the blood of the Lamb and I testify now about the blood and the blood has healed me and the blood has delivered me. I take the cup."
