Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ. Now for some more specific prayers: Please pray for the family of the toddler who was struck and killed by a car in Santa Ana, CA last Sunday morning. Pray for the driver of the car too. Please continue praying for Katie and her family. The lost all of their personal belongings in a horrible house fire. Pray for Justin and his family. Justin may still need that kidney transplant. Please pray for Dreu and her children Liz, Beka, Sarah, and David. Dreu’s got a bad cough and is going to see a doctor tomorrow. Her daughter Liz needs a job and a place to live now since she’s finally out of prison. Please continue praying for the situation with my son Josh, my granddaughter Danielle, Josh’s girl-friend Brianna and her child, and my mom Doris. It’s worse than a soap opera. It’s been a number of weeks since Josh and Danielle have visited my mom, but it’s still a very sticky situation. Danielle’s mom, Erika committed suicide two years ago. Josh and Danielle have not yet worked through the loss. He ignores it. She refuses to deal with it too. She gets into fights at school, she won’t listen to anyone in authority, she lies and steals, and acts like she has some sort of schizoaffective disorder. Please continue to hold my family up in prayer too, especially Howard, Clara, Miguel, Myrna, Glenda, Sean, Cort, Kymmie, Shannon, Kevin, Kelly, Patrick, Scott, Barbara, Julie, Robert, Laurie, Janet, Debbie, Jeff, and the countless distant relatives, ex-wives, ex-girlfriends, and ex-stepchildren that I haven’t seen in years. This entire family could definitely use a major amount of prayer. Please pray for me too. I’m not in the best of health, I’m overweight, I have dental and vision issues. I’m afraid I seem to have some emotional and psychological issues too. I’m a convicted felon, a recovering addict, and I all the associated issues that accompany things such as that. Please ask God to help me get out of this mess I’ve gotten myself into. Please ask our God to help me find the right words to use when I’m dealing with folks who find it impossible to believe the Word of God, who refuse to accept any and all of the Truth found in the Holy Scriptures, yet they have no problems whatsoever believing in the lies of the Devil. They swallow and earnestly believe every conspiracy theory that comes their way. They hold fast to the traditions of Wicca, practice Astrology and Numerology, and consult Psychics and Tarot cards. They believe God’s Word to be foolish and anxiously await a word of wisdom from long dead philosophers, relatives, and friends through Mediums and Soothsayers, or anyone with the “gift†of Clairvoyance. They seek the approval of any number of mythical deities, including faeries, elves, and gnomes. These folks believe in UFOs and extra-terrestrials, but think Biblical references to Angels or Demons are simply faerie tales (or proof of the existence of visitors from other planets). In their minds they truly believe that some distant Galactic Federation will soon visit our realm and miraculously resolve all of the ills that place mankind. Please pray for the small town I live in. After 20 or more years I’ve witnessed a lot of change, but the small town atmosphere never seemed to go away. Now it seems as if those folks in the positions of power want to turn this small “drinking town with a fishing problem†into something it’s not. We have a serious drug problem (pills, heroin, meth, and Lord knows what else) that’s drawing our youth down a road that usually ends with time living in the Grey Bar Motel or worse, taking the long nap (six-feet under) or resting in an urn on the living room mantle. Instead of admitting there is a problem our civic leaders choose to ignore it with the hopes it will go away and instead focus on ways to make this area more metropolitan. It’s depressing. Please continue praying for Jason as he recovers from back surgery. Pray for Roxanne who had to resign her post because of her failing health. Please continue praying for David, his brother Jack, his immediate family, his acquaintances, his employees, and all of his gambling and “off the book†friends who not only believe they are above the law, but feel they have the right and the duty to ridicule and insult those of us who don’t see eye to eye with them and they way they perform a laundry list of questionable business practices and outright illegal activities. These same folks have no problem making veiled threats toward those who “disagree†with them while smiling and shaking hands and making others believe they’re just a bunch of good old boys out having a little fun. These are evil people corrupting everything they touch. They will destroy a reputation by spreading vicious lies and damaging rumors. Please ask God to cause these folks to repent and fix the damage they have intentionally done. Please ask our Heavenly Father to shut them down before someone gets hurt. Pray for Virginia who has been having a rough time. She owes her family and friends thousands of dollars. She steals and lies in order to get what she wants. Pray for her son Chris, a convicted drug dealer and an addict who seems to be using and dealing again. Pray for her older son Bradley, who outwardly appears to be doing fine, but is involved with folks “working†the wrong side of the law in our small town. Pray for her daughter Candace who is always of the opinion that she's better than everyone else and above reproach. It's time for an attitude adjustment. Pray also for other daughter Bridgette. She’s working herself to death by trying to keep her mom’s daycare center afloat and covering a small portion of her mom’s debts. Please pray for her boyfriend Joe too. Pray for Joe’s kids Emma and Wes who have witnessed many things grade school aged kids just shouldn’t see. Pray also for her dog Lily who she is afraid is dying. Ask that God's Will be done in all of their lives. Please continue praying for Bobby and Lynette. They’re probably in need of some financial help as well. Pray for their kids too. Please pray for Kevin. He has some serious control and anger issues that appear to be destroying his family. Pray for Leighanne who is not only recovering from a stroke, but is in serious financial hardship as well. Please pray for Liz and her family. This poor kid is finally out of prison and needs help getting her life back together. Help her entire family. Please pray for Megan and her children. Her husband is going to prison for about three years and she’s got a lot to deal with such as raising her three or four girls by herself, etc. Pray for Jennifer who is now engaged to be married. Ask that His Will be done in her life, the life of her fiance, and the lives of their children. Please pray for Mary Kate. She’s battling cancer. Pray for her family too. Pray for Danielle who lives in a different city now. Pray for our elected officials at all levels of government (federal, state, county, local; and the overseas or foreign equivalents too). Ask God to help them to make the right decisions to benefit mankind. Pray also for those who serve and protect us, also at the local, county, state, and federal levels, plus the foreign or overseas counterparts, including police officers, sheriff’s deputies, constables, marshals, sheriffs, border and customs officers, forest and park rangers, security officer, corrections officers, and parking and traffic control officers; pray also for those working as firefighters, EMTs, EMS, Paramedics, Search and Rescue, and Volunteers. Please pray for those in uniform, the ones who serve and protect us. I’m talking about the members of our armed forces like the Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines, Army, Reservists, and National Guard; and all of the Retirees, Veterans, and their family members; plus any and all of their overseas or foreign counterparts. Please pray for Kathleen and her children. This family is attempting to recover from the loss of a loved one, her husband and their father (he had retired from the Army) to cancer. Pray for Farhan, his family, and his congregation up in prayer. These folks are living, worshiping, and working in a war-torn, predominantly Muslim part of the world. They face daily persecution and need our prayers. Please pray for Elizabeth who is experiencing some financial hardship. She is also trying to raise two autistic kids. Please ask God to cause musicians like Bobby, Phil, Darryl, Karen, Barry, and Oden to participate in such a gathering of Born Again performers.
