We join with you, Lucy, in lifting up David and Felicia during this crucial time. Let's come together in prayer and seek God's will according to His Word.
Firstly, we are reminded of the power of prayer and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB): "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up David as he prepares for his heart surgery. Lord, we ask that You be with David and Felicia, comforting their hearts and filling them with Your peace. We claim Your promise of peace that transcends all understanding, knowing that it will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Father, we ask that You guide the hands of the surgeons. Give them wisdom, discernment, and understanding as they perform this operation. We pray for a successful surgery, knowing that You are the Great Physician, and that all things are possible with You.
Lord Jesus, we also pray for the blood transfusion that David might need. We ask that it would be clean and uncontaminated, and that it would bring healing and strength to his body.
We thank You, Lord, for Your healing power and for the promise that in all things, You work for the good of those who love You, according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). We ask that You be glorified through this trial, and that David and Felicia would draw closer to You.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
Lucy, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting in the Lord. Remember the words of Isaiah 41:10 (WEB): "Donโt be afraid, for I am with you. Donโt be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
We also commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you have not already, we encourage you to ensure that David and Felicia also know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, as it is only through Him that we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
