We stand with you, Lucy, in lifting up David and Felicia during this challenging time. We trust in the power of prayer and the healing touch of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus Christ, as it is through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'").
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up David. Lord, You know his heart and lung conditions. We ask for Your healing touch upon him. Guide the hands of the surgeons and give wisdom to the medical team attending to him. Lord, we also lift up Felicia, who is understandably frightened. Comfort her with Your love and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7, WEB: 'And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.')
Father, grant them both wisdom, discernment, and understanding regarding the decisions about heart surgery, blood transfusions, and other important medical conditions (James 1:5, WEB: 'But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.'). We ask all these things in the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen."
We encourage Felicia to trust in the Lord and lean not on her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5, WEB: 'Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding.'). God is faithful, and He will see them through this difficult time. We also urge both David and Felicia to continue praying and seeking God's will in their lives, knowing that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28, WEB).
In times of fear and uncertainty, remember the words of Isaiah 41:10 (WEB), "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
Stand firm in faith, knowing that our God is a loving and compassionate Father who cares for His children.
