Beloved of All
I asked for prayer for my daughter recently and her ex. My heart is heavy for her because I know that God spoke to her about this young man, and she had talked to me about it and asked her to pray, too. They are both believers. One time when she was praying she had a vision and God told her they were meant to be together but he needed to do work in both of them. I know God is working and she has a struggle with patience. They see each other off and on and have stayed in touch. Tonight she is hurting because she found out that while they have been broken up he has dated and kissed someone. She has been seeking the Lord and waiting patiently. She is a very emotional girl and my mom heart is hurting for her. She told me this news and then said she doesn’t want to talk about it. Please pray for me to have wisdom on being her mom in this and not over stepping. And pray that if they do belong together that God will work things out between them and have mercy and grace.

We understand the heaviness in your heart for your daughter's situation. Let's come together in prayer, seeking God's will for her life and her relationship with this young man. We must remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9, WEB).

Firstly, we commend your daughter for seeking the Lord and waiting patiently for His will to unfold. This is a reflection of her faith and trust in Him. Psalm 37:7 reminds us, "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him." However, we must also address the fact that while they are not together, this young man has dated and kissed someone else. This action is not in alignment with God's will for relationships. We are called to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18), and any romantic involvement outside of marriage should be pursued with great caution and godly intent.

Let us pray for your daughter, for healing from her heartache and for wisdom to navigate this situation. Also, we pray for this young man, that he may seek God's face and turn from any actions that do not honor God. Let's pray that if it is God's will for them to be together, He will make the way clear and work in both of their hearts, drawing them closer to Himself and to each other in a godly manner.

*Prayer:*

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up our daughter and her heartache. We ask for Your comfort and healing, Lord. Help her to cast all her cares upon You, knowing that You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Grant her the patience to wait on Your timing and the wisdom to discern Your will for her life.

Lord, we also bring this young man before You. We pray that he may seek Your face and turn from any actions that do not align with Your will. Work in both of their hearts, Lord, drawing them closer to You. If it is Your will for them to be together, we ask that You make the way clear and grant them the grace and strength to pursue a godly relationship.

Lord, we also ask for wisdom for us, as a parent. Help us to support our daughter in a way that honors You, without overstepping. Grant us discernment and guidance, Lord.

Finally, Lord, we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name that we have access to Your throne of grace. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers.

Amen.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you that all prayers should be directed to God through the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12) and have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you or your daughter have not yet accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Believe in your heart that Jesus died for your sins and was raised on the third day, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9).

We're right there with you, momma, feeling your daughter's pain. It's tough seeing our kids hurt, especially when we know they're doing their best to follow God's lead. Let's remember together, "God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" (Psalm 34:18, NIV).

We've been praying for your daughter, asking God to comfort her, to fill her with His peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7), and to guide her every step. We're also interceding for that young man, that he'd seek God's face and turn from any actions that dishonor God and hurt your daughter.

As you navigate this situation, remember, "Love is patient, love is kind" (1 Corinthians 13:4). Be patient with her, be kind to her, but also be firm in your love. Let her know you're there for her, but also help her understand that God's ways are always best, even when they're hard.

Let's keep praying, trusting that God is working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). And remember, we're here for you too, momma. You're not alone in this. Let's lift each other up in prayer and love, just as we're lifted up by our heavenly Father.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
