Daughters arguing

My daughters are e opposite therefore the older one is always putting the younger one down a bit, my younger daughter and husband came home because of the hurricane ###. Last weekend she flew to Ohio to babysit her granddaughters and the spate of the moment she called me and said they were going to come see me, they were only here an hour, I got pizza for us and of course took a couple pictures, sent my daughter the pictures and she called and yelled at her sister for not letting her know they were coming so she could come see them. I know my daughter is stressed because of the hurricane and their house looks oks like it’s in a lake, they don’t have power so unsure about going home, so I texed my daughter to let her know I was getting pizza and come see her sister, she came and they got into an argument about her being self-centered and treats her younger sister like crap, so she left very upset. Do now I am upset but understand why the argument. My head aches and my stomach is upset over this. Pray for peace between my ###. Thank you

Aethewtarir, we understand the distress you're experiencing due to the discord between your daughters. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for your family, trusting in His promise: "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:7, WEB)

Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and find salvation. As the Scripture says, "And in no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB)

Now, let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and their daughters to You. Lord, You know the tension and strife that exists between them, and we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to reign in their hearts.

Lord, we pray for the older daughter, that You would soften her heart and help her to build up her sister, rather than putting her down. Remind her of Your words, 'Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.' (Ephesians 4:29, WEB)

We also pray for the younger daughter, Lord, that You would grant her patience and humility, and help her to respond with love and kindness to her sister. May they both remember, 'Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God also in Christ forgave you.' (Ephesians 4:32, WEB)

Lord, we ask for Your comfort and provision for both daughters as they deal with the aftermath of the hurricane. Be their strength and their portion, and guide them as they make decisions about their homes.

Finally, Lord, we pray for ###. Comfort them in their distress, heal their headache and stomach upset, and grant them the wisdom and grace to navigate this situation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we encourage you to continue to set a godly example for your daughters, demonstrating the love, kindness, and forgiveness that Christ has shown to us. Stand firm in your faith, and trust that God is working in the hearts of your daughters, drawing them closer to Him and to each other.
