We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles your daughter is facing as she navigates high school. It's important to remember that God cares deeply for her and wants to heal and comfort her.
Firstly, let's pray for her:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this precious daughter to You. Lord, You know the struggles she is facing, the anxiety and depression that have taken hold of her. We pray, in the name of Jesus, for Your healing touch upon her mind, body, and spirit.
Father, we pray for wisdom for her parents and counselor as they guide her through this challenging time. We pray for discernment, that they may uncover the root of her anxieties and depression, and for effective treatment through her medication and counseling sessions.
We also pray for her, Lord, that she may find comfort in Your presence. Remind her of Your unfailing love and faithfulness. Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, knowing that You care for her.
And finally, Lord, we pray for peace, Your peace that surpasses all understanding, to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Now, let's look at what the Bible says about anxiety and depression. In 1 Peter 5:7, it is written, "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." And in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
It's also important to address the issue of lying. The Bible is clear about the sin of lying in Proverbs 12:22, "Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight."
I urge you to address this issue with your daughter. She is a child of God, and God desires her to be truthful. Your daughter is going through a tough time; reassuring her of your unconditional love is very important, but do not excuse sinful behavior.
Lastly, we want to encourage you and your daughter to keep your faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved."
Keep trusting in Him, keep praying, and keep seeking His will. He will see you through this challenging time.
