Dear Lord,
I was just reading about Esau again, + how he despised his birthright. I think of the spiritual implications of this. I don't know what goes thru the minds of A + M, but they aren't seeking you + don't see the need. Please give them a change of heart so they will realize there is no escape from the consequences of our own sin, unless we repent + ask for your forgiveness.
Please pour out on them a spirit of repentance + a desire to seek you. Give them a great hunger + thirst for righteousness. Pull them to a church that teaches the truth, + give them a desire to attend regularly. Fill them with the need to seek you + search your word.
Wake up their spirits, enlighten their eyes, unstop their spiritual ears, + fill their minds with understanding. May any + all false teachings that temporarily appeal to them lose all their fake luster. Expose all doctrines of demons for what they are. Straighten out any crooked or perverse thinking.
Protect all of us from the terrible increase in lawlessness + crime; from carjackings, property theft, assaults, fraud, + all forms of evil.
Protect their health from something you + I have talked about. May adverse reactions not touch them.
