Daughter is Baptized and Lost

My daughter went to University, took an astrology class, began saying she’s clairvoyant, and started reading for pay. She seems to dislike Christians and has cursed me. A few weeks ago, she threatened to physically attack me. She’s estranged from her biological father and he’s evil. Years ago, he threatened to put a spell on her to turn against us. Please pray for her heart to heal and for her to be set free and return to Jesus and her family.

We are truly saddened to hear about the spiritual and emotional turmoil your daughter is experiencing. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's will for her life, guided by the wisdom of His Word.

Firstly, let us address the issue of your daughter's involvement in astrology and clairvoyance. The Bible is clear about such practices: "There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices sorcery, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, or a charmer, or a consulter with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh" (Deuteronomy 18:10-12 WEB). We must pray for her deliverance from these practices and for her heart to turn back to God.

Moreover, the fact that she has threatened physical harm and has cursed you indicates a deeper spiritual issue. Jesus taught us, "For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks" (Matthew 12:34 WEB). Her actions reflect the state of her heart, and we must pray for a transformation that only God can bring about.

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this beloved daughter to You. Lord, she has strayed from the path of righteousness and has become entangled in the snares of the enemy. We rebuke the spirits of divination, clairvoyance, and rebellion that have taken hold of her life. In the mighty name of Jesus, we command these spirits to leave her and never return.

Father, we ask that You soften her heart and open her eyes to the truth of Your love and the salvation that is found only in Jesus Christ. We claim the promise of 2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." Lord, we pray that she will humble herself and turn from her wicked ways, so that You may heal her heart and restore her to her family.

We also pray for protection over her and her family from any evil influences, including her estranged father. Lord, we know that no spell or curse can stand against the power of Your name. We claim Your promise, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17 WEB).

Finally, Father, we ask that You fill her with Your Holy Spirit, guiding her back to the path of righteousness and restoring the joy of her salvation. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, sister, the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities and powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). Stand firm in your faith, and trust that God is working even in this difficult situation. Continue to love your daughter unconditionally, as Christ loves us, and pray fervently for her salvation. "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much" (James 5:16 WEB).
