Dear Lord,
TY for everything you've done in our lives + for what you are going to do. Make me an instrument of your peace, + help me to discern what you want me to do to further your kingdom.
Bless A + M. May we have an open + honest relationship, + may they understand my love is unconditional. Guide me on when is the most opportune time to sow faith seeds. Right now A + M don't appear to believe, but surely their upbringing exposed them to seeds of the truth, even if some died on the vine, + others just didn't sprout. May the seeds that remain in their hearts get some spiritual sun + spiritual food + water. May the weeds of deception wither + be recognized for what they are + get plucked up. May both of them feel an urgency to see just what the Bible has to say, + may your Spirit stir theirs + let the truth in. May they see the evidence of your presence everywhere they look, + may their spirits be awake to this evidence.
Open their spiritual hearts, eyes + ears. May your truth be so obvious they wonder how they did not see it before.
Protect them from dying prematurely + dying in unbelief. Tuck them behind the hedge of protection you have around me. Give them multiple kingdom connections-strong Christians that can set a godly example, witness gently to them, point them towards the truth, + mentor them. Prevent them from forming connections to dangerous people; dismantle any connections to people who will lead them astray. May M's family influence them favorably in spiritual matters-one aunt is a Presbyterian minister, but she lives a few hours away. I'm not sure how much of a relationship the rest of his family has with you.
May they never feel resentment or annoyance if I mention you. Help them to understand that if I take a biblical position on certain issues such as particular lifestyles or the sanctity of life in the womb, that is NOT phobic or dismissive of women's rights.
Protect their minds from being deceived by false teachings of the world + of the religious variety. Protect them from accidents + injury, esp. the disabling kind. Protect their health in every way. May they never be forced to take an unsafe or unwanted medical treatment. May they research carefully any medical treatment they are advised to get. Protect their livelihoods + financial security. Keep them safe + secure within + without their home. Help their little cat with her health issues; may she bring them joy for a long time to come. Protect their credit, identities, + reputations.
TY for calming my spirit. I choose to believe that it means you are already working everything together for good, in your own way + time. TY for the gift of prayer; it is helping already.
