Dear Lord,
TY for your many blessings. Please give me wisdom, discernment, + clarity of vision. Protect me from being deceived in any way, + protect me, B, + A + M from accidents, injuries (esp. the disabling kind), diseases, medical malpractice, dangerous people, premature death, death in unbelief, doctrines of demons, damaged relationships, etc. May your will be done in our lives. Protect our identities, spirits, souls, livelihood, etc. Keep us safe + secure in our homes; protect us from fraud, identity theft; financial reverses; job loss; reputation damage; etc.
May M's job remain secure. A seems content to stick with what she is doing now. I don’t know if she will even want to go back to her career teaching college. I would love for her to teach for a Christian organization, but would she? Only you know what you have in mind for her. May it come to pass. I know your plans can’t be thwarted; for that I’m grateful.
As you know, I’m in deep grief over A + M losing whatever faith they had. How do these things happen? I think of the parable of the sower. Did birds come + snatch the seeds of faith away? Did metaphorical weeds sneak in among the seeds + choke the life out of the seedlings? Was the soil the seeds were planted in too shallow or rocky? Please uproot any weeds choking the truth. Return good soil to the ground. Chase the vultures away.
Put strong Christians in their lives + inner circle. May they hear the good news wherever they go. Please open their hearts + fill them with your Holy Spirit. May they see evidence of your existence wherever they go, + not be able to deny it. May they realize it is their responsibility to search for the truth + verify it for themselves; this life is the only time they have to do this. May they feel the urgency to investigate instead of just accepting what unbelievers say. I know you will keep pursuing them; may they never let their hearts be hardened + may they never willfully harden them on their own. Release them from unbelief, + restore to them the joy of your salvation.
In your name + according to your will, amen.
