Dear Lord,
Recently, when I talked to A, she said she knew there had to be "something" greater than us bc of creation. When I asked if she believed Jesus is our Savior, she hesitated, + said, "I guess." I cannot call that belief, but I am believing the door to her heart is open + the Holy Spirit will continue to work on these two so they will repent + confess Jesus as Lord + Savior at some point in the future.
TY for giving me confidence that you will continue to actively pursue these precious ones. I am so grateful for the powerful tool of prayer as an effective battle tactic. It's comforting to know our prayers hinder + eventually defeat our demonic enemies. Your angels are welcome allies in this fight.
Part of the problem is their lack of knowledge. They aren't currently seeking to study your word, + that's one thing they need to do.
Stir your Holy Spirit to soften their hearts so they will seek the truth, + be more receptive to it. May nothing they read or hear that espouses a false religion resonate with them. May it ring hollow + false. May they find peace in you alone.
May they start seeing signs of you everywhere-in your creation, in the miracles of daily life, in your protection of them, etc. May they not be able to forget this evidence. May they never see the world's wisdom as the correct path to follow in life; may they understand why your ways are so much better for us + recognize the world's "truths" are really deceptions.
It doesn't help to see how depraved + evil our nation has become. One of our congressional leaders opens a session of Congress with a prayer to some false god + later says he doesn't want "thoughts or prayers." Another one said, "God's will is no concern of this congress." How far we have fallen! Judgment can't be far behind! For the sake of your people, please restrain this evil so more loved ones can be saved before it's too late.
Put more people in their lives who shine your light. May more people witness to them of their faith. They need to hear your word; it’s critical. May A decide to return to church with me. I want her to hear your word in a way that really resonate with her spirit; it maystart something. I pray they will be motivated to search for you +/or read apologetics books. There's so much evidence, + you promise to reveal yourself to the one who seeks you earnestly. May they do that.
A expressed doubt that the Bible could be true after so much time has passed. I've looked at some resources but want to be sure I find one she will be willing to read (or watch, if it's a DVD). Help me to find the right one, + tenderize both their hearts to be receptive to it.
May the prayers of your saints, the swords of your angels, + your Spirit defy the evil ones fighting for their souls. May A + M hunger + thirst for righteousness, + fight back too. If they knew the Bible, it would help so much.
Lord, TY again for lifting the heavy burden that's been on my soul + spirit. TY for giving me greater confidence that you are already solving this problem.
Send them a kingdom connection-someone who has a faith as strong as T's; someone they respect tremendously, + someone who will help lead them back to you. Keep them away from dangerous people + circumstances. Shield them from those who are actively living in rebellion. Expose all false teachings + false prophets to them in a way they cannot deny.
Protect them from premature death; dying in unbelief; accidents, injury or disease, esp. the disabling kind; dangerous + evil people; loss of their livelihoods, reputation or credit damage; identity theft; property theft; deceiving or seducing spirits; false teachings; false prophets; or anything that leads them away from you. Keep them healthy in body + soul. May they not be forced into taking any unwanted or undesirable medical treatments, + may they thoroughly research any that may be pushed on them.
Protect my relationship with them so the lines of communication remain open + healthy. Help me to witness in a way that does not drive them away. Give me wisdom + discernment on how to speak to them, + help me to always act righteously + in love.
