Darkest hour beyore dawn

I've been noticing something, and I don't think it's a coincidence, but see if my thoughts are on track. When the devil knows he's going down,he seems to step up his attacks, out of desperation, meaning, the situation in it's death throes actually gets worse before ending. Like, to my own experiences, if I've been dealing with an annoying person, and they're finally going to move away{Hallelujah}before they move they lean on me more than ever until the transition takes place and they're finally out of my life.More spiritually,in the book of Revelation we read,"Woe to the Earth and to the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing he has a short amount of time."Look at KNOWING HE HAS A SHORT AMOUNT OF TIME.Seems to bear out what I'm saying about the devil, when he knows he's on the way down, goes down swinging.Or like Jesus compared the negative events in the last days to birth pangs that increase, then comes the joy.Is the darkest hour before dawn?{Like, the devil knows dawn is coming, so he increases the darkness?}Maybe that shows the devil is desperate.Doesn't seem like a coincidence to me.You?

But the issue wasn't really about my fears, I was asking if I had a point that the devil steps things up when he knows he's being defeated..

Yes, Bob, it's prophesied in Isaiah Chapter 60... 1"Arise, shine; for your light has come, And the glory of the LORD has risen upon you. 2"For behold, darkness will cover the earth And deep darkness the peoples; But the LORD will rise upon you And His glory will appear upon you.

So now that we know the devil fights hardest before the dawn on both personal and spiritual levels, how do we combat that? What do we do with that knowledge?

I suggest increased time in prayer, praying for the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23), getting together with others (for the Lord promises special blessing on corporate prayer which He considers two people [Matt 18:19, He is the third in our midst, wherever two or {actually} Three] Matt 18:20).

I suggest an increase in our use of spiritual weapons during dark times (ramadan, the high occult holidays between Oct 13th and November 4th and other holiday periods before St Agnes Eve, St Mark's or St James Day http://www.theopenscroll.com/hosting/SatanicCalendar.htm), prior to ministry times, prior to transitional phases and any time we may be more vulnerable or off our schedule, et cetera...
