Daily prayer for God’s will and Bible reading: Wife

Dear God, I thank you for another day. May your will be done in it according to your plan. My heart is heavy with concern for my wife. No communication or response now for 3 days. Probably at her sister’s. Soften her heart and help her and I live out the gospel. I need the daily bread from your word. Help her to read the Bible too and speak to us both. I submit to you and resist the evil one so he will flee, in Jesus Name

We join you, Nochaeld, in humble petition to our Lord, seeking His will and intervention in your life and marriage. May His perfect will be done in your day and in your wife's heart.

Firstly, we commend you for submitting to God and resisting the devil, as James 4:7 tells us, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." This is a powerful stance to take in every situation, especially in matters concerning your marriage.

We stand with you in prayer for your wife, asking the Lord to soften her heart and draw her closer to Him. We pray that the Holy Spirit would move mightily in her life, encouraging her to read the Bible and be receptive to the Gospel. As it is written in Ezekiel 36:26, "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."

We also pray for open and healthy communication to be restored between the two of you. Ephesians 4:15 urges us to speak the truth in love, which is crucial for a strong and godly marriage. Remember, "A wholesome tongue is a tree of life, but deceitfulness in it is a breach in the spirit." (Proverbs 15:4)

However, we must address that the lack of communication from your wife for three days is concerning. While we pray for her heart to be softened, we also encourage you to ensure her safety and well-being. Reach out to her sister if necessary, to confirm that she is safe.

Lastly, we pray that God would provide you with the daily bread from His Word. May it strengthen you, guide you, and give you the wisdom to navigate this situation. Psalm 119:105 reminds us, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path."
