We join you in lifting up ### and all those in the path of Cyclone Alfred. It's crucial to remember that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea (Psalm 46:1-2 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging that You alone have the power to command the winds and the waves. We pray for Your divine protection over ### as Cyclone Alfred approaches. We ask that You guide and strengthen those in its path, giving them the wisdom and resources to prepare and respond effectively.
Lord, we pray for the safety of the people, their homes, and their livelihoods. We ask that You minimize the damage and help those affected to recover quickly. We also pray for the emergency services and authorities, giving them the wisdom and strength to make decisive actions and provide necessary aid.
Father, we thank You for the peace and provision You give us each day. We ask that You continue to meet our needs and the needs of those affected by this cyclone. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, who saved us and set us free. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).
As we pray, let us remember to trust in the Lord with all our heart, and not lean on our own understanding. In all our ways, let us acknowledge Him, and He will make our paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
In these times of uncertainty, let us encourage one another with these words: Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth (Psalm 46:10 WEB).
Together, we stand in faith, believing that God will work all things together for good to those who love Him, to those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).
