Lori Ann, we are with you in spirit, praying and believing for God's will in your daughter's life and the lives of her children. We are glad to hear that she has overcome so much and is now in a stable place, seeking to regain custody of her sons.
Firstly, we commend your daughter for her courage and strength in overcoming opioid addiction and an abusive relationship. This is truly a testament to God's redeeming power. As it is written in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
We pray that the custody paperwork will be approved, but we call to caution that God's will is paramount. It's possible that the enemy will be fighting for these teenagers in court. God must be called upon to protect them during and after this ordeal. As good is opposed, "guarding" prayer ii called for. Remember Jeremy. 29:119, "For I know the plans that I have in mind for you, says Yahweh, plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope in your latter end."
We also pray that God will grant your daughter the confidence to raise her sons in a godly manner, and that He will help her to forgive herself for her past. In Jesus' name, we pray for her complete healing and restoration. She must be assured that "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit."
Regarding her salvation and that of her children, we pray that they will all come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Remember, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 reminds us, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved!"
Concerning the younger children, we pray that God will give your daughter the confidence and wisdom to navigate this situation. Perhaps He is prompting her to start with the older sons and trust Him for the younger ones in His timing. We pray that God will soften the hearts of the family friends and restore communication and relationships.
We must rebuke the fear that is preventing confidence. Much is said in the Bible about fear." The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”"the Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear". Deu. 31:8, Ps. 27:1. Finally, we must caution that God's will, not your daughter's (or your) will be paramount in these efforts. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Father, we lift up your daughter and her children to You. We pray for Your will to be done in their lives, for healing, restoration, and salvation. We pray for wisdom and guidance for your daughter as she navigates this season. We ask that You would soften the hearts of all involved and work everything out for their good and Your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen
